Home Sweet Home.....WOOHOO!!!

After 8 long, stressful and emotionally draining days in the NICU, Kyler came home on Tuesday the 12th!!! We were so excited to get to bring him home!! The last few days in the hospital, he really came around and started taking his bottles well for us. The Monday night before we came home, the doctors let us come stay with Kyler in a room at the hospital. He (and Momma and Daddy) did really well, and Tuesday morning we met with the doc and nurses and got all our instructions about bringing him home. It is hard to believe that a week ago he would hardly take 10 cc's of his bottles and now he is taking 70 cc's every chance he gets :) He is waking up about every three hours to eat and has done pretty well at night. We are so blessed that Kyler is doing so well, and know that the Lord was, and still is, looking over our new little family. There are so many families with babies in the NICU that we still think about every day that need our prayers.
Some families may never make it home with their babies, or get to have their babies home as soon as we did.
Headed to Holly Springs for the first time!!! He seems
to really like riding in the car.
Here is little man during his first trip to the pediatrician!! We are going to Dr. Fesmire at Pediatrics East in Collierville, and we really LOVE him. He had lots of helpful advice to help us with getting Kyler on a schedule. Kyler was up to 6 lbs 8 ounces, which is 3 ounces more than when we left the hospital Tuesday. He stayed awake the whole doctors visit and really liked Dr. Fesmire. He called Kyler a little stud muffin for being able to get released from the NICU so soon. Hopefully Kyler can keep growing well and will have another good appointment when we go back in 2 weeks.

The horses were at the road when we got home,
so we decided to let Kyler meet them!!! Moon couldnt get
enough of him. (Notice how interested Kyler was...haha.)
First bath!!! YaYa, Grandmama, Mammaw and Pappaw
came to visit while Lee and I ran some errands, and Kyler
seemed to LOVE soaking up all the attention. Luckily, Mom
was there to help me with the first bath. Thanks Mom!!
Just a little glimpse of my "new" life!! My three men
hanging out on the couch.
