ALL MY LOVIES......

So, lots has happened since our last update. I promise, one day I will get better at updating this thing!!! First off, here is a picture of my first "lovies"!! Brett and Bradley have been around since the day they were born. Momma used to watch them for Melanie, and I still think of them in the kitchen beating on pots and pans when they were a year old :( Oh how times flies!! Kyler is gonna be there age before we know it. B & B might are our "extended family" and we all absolutely adore them. They will be going into the eighth grade at Schilling Farms in the fall and will be a force to reckon with on all the sports teams. Anyway, they stayed with mom and dad last weekend and Lee and I went by there and this is what we saw.......

Brett and Brad
As you can see, they took full advantage of the storms that came through earlier in the day and took the dirt bikes muddin!! They are sooooo funny!! I think Brett just got of the bike and wallowed in the mud...haha.

My second "lovie" Nicholas!!
My third "lovie" Lilly Ann!!!
I got a few pics of Nicholas and Lilly Ann when I went by Mom's to visit. They are officially out for the summer, and I am sure it will be a WILD one. There is never a dull moment when the two of them are around, and by the time Kyler gets old enough and Amy and Bubbas baby gets here we are in for some trouble.
The "man of the house".....Kyler Lee Todd!!!!
Kyler had a doctors appointment with Dr. Fesmire this morning and he is doing GREAT!!! Dr. Fesmire says he is a superstar for doing so well after being in the NICU. He is gaining weight like crazy, and was up to 7 pounds, 8 ounces today!! It is hard to think that he will be a month old on Sunday. Time flies when your having fun!! As you can see above, he loves hanging out in his Nap Nanny. Doesn's he look like such a big boy??? He is sooooo much fun, and we are so in love!!! He is growing every day and starting to stay awake a little more, so he is lots of fun to play with.
SWAYZE!!!
I think this poor baby feels deprived sometimes since Kyler has come home, but he LOVES him!! Wherever Kyler is, Swayze is not far behind. I took this pic yesterday morning when we were just hanging around the house. This is what he does while I feed Kyler during the day!!

Home Sweet Home.....WOOHOO!!!

After 8 long, stressful and emotionally draining days in the NICU, Kyler came home on Tuesday the 12th!!! We were so excited to get to bring him home!! The last few days in the hospital, he really came around and started taking his bottles well for us. The Monday night before we came home, the doctors let us come stay with Kyler in a room at the hospital. He (and Momma and Daddy) did really well, and Tuesday morning we met with the doc and nurses and got all our instructions about bringing him home. It is hard to believe that a week ago he would hardly take 10 cc's of his bottles and now he is taking 70 cc's every chance he gets :) He is waking up about every three hours to eat and has done pretty well at night. We are so blessed that Kyler is doing so well, and know that the Lord was, and still is, looking over our new little family. There are so many families with babies in the NICU that we still think about every day that need our prayers.
Some families may never make it home with their babies, or get to have their babies home as soon as we did.
Headed to Holly Springs for the first time!!! He seems
to really like riding in the car.
Here is little man during his first trip to the pediatrician!! We are going to Dr. Fesmire at Pediatrics East in Collierville, and we really LOVE him. He had lots of helpful advice to help us with getting Kyler on a schedule. Kyler was up to 6 lbs 8 ounces, which is 3 ounces more than when we left the hospital Tuesday. He stayed awake the whole doctors visit and really liked Dr. Fesmire. He called Kyler a little stud muffin for being able to get released from the NICU so soon. Hopefully Kyler can keep growing well and will have another good appointment when we go back in 2 weeks.

The horses were at the road when we got home,
so we decided to let Kyler meet them!!! Moon couldnt get
enough of him. (Notice how interested Kyler was...haha.)
First bath!!! YaYa, Grandmama, Mammaw and Pappaw
came to visit while Lee and I ran some errands, and Kyler
seemed to LOVE soaking up all the attention. Luckily, Mom
was there to help me with the first bath. Thanks Mom!!
Just a little glimpse of my "new" life!! My three men
hanging out on the couch.

Update on our "little man" Kyler!!!

Just a few pics of the HANDSOMEST baby in the world....Kyler Lee Todd!!!!
( Dont let the IV scare you, that vein in his head
is the strongest that babies have.)
Can you stand the cuteness????

Just thought I would give a quick update. The past few days have pretty overwhelming and emotionally draining!!! I got discharged from the hospital Wednesday morning, so after the 12 feeding Lee and I headed home for a few hours to try to regroup and get some things done. Needless to say, we only stayed there long enough to do what had to be done because we wanted to head back to the hospital. Kyler has taken a few bottles, but has had some trouble learning to coordinate sucking, swallowing and breathing at the same time. Therefore, they decided to continue his feedings through his feeding tube which enables him to get al the energy he can. Learning to take the bottle will come with time and should be soon because of how far along he was when we had him. Last night he was put back on a little oxygen because his levels would drop as he was trying to eat. This should help him progress quickly!!! He is in a wonderful place and in the best of care, but it is soooooo hard because all we want to do is pick him up and love on him. Please pray that Kyler will continue to grow stronger and remain healthy so we can take him home soon. Thanks to everyone for the phone calls, love and support these past few days!! We appreciate everything and cannot wait for everyone to meet our handsome Kyler.

Just in time for Mothers Day......Kyler Lee Todd makes an early arrival!!!!!

Where do I start??? Kyler Lee decided to make an early entrance into the world Sunday May 3, 2009 at 12:24 pm. Since Lee was still out of town turkey hunting I decided to stay with Amy and Brandon Saturday night just in case anything "out of the ordinary" were to happen!!! Little did we know that my water would break at 4 oclock that morning. Lee was still in MO and got the frantic phone call to come home. As we rushed to the hospital, Lee and Mr. Gary got on the road to home. We checked in the hospital and then the waiting game started. We were waiting for Lee to get here to start the c-section because Kyler was still breech. Everything went really well through the surgery and Kyler came out at a whopping 6 lbs. 7oz.!!!! Kyler was doing great and he and Daddy were sent to the well baby nursery. After being there for almost an hour, he started having some trouble breathing and was sent to the NICU. It was overwhelming on all of us at first but Kyler is improving every hour and is doing GREAT!!!! He is breathing on his own and it is the same air that you and I breathe. He has on a CPAP to help fill his lungs and should be getting that off tommorrow or the next day. We are so excited that he is here!!!!!!!!!!!! He looks just like Daddy, but has Momma's strawberry blonde hair :) Here are a few pics of little man over the past 24 hours......................................
This is Kyler in the well baby nursery, isnt he
just HANDSOME!!!
Here is all the crowd that came to visit. He has
LOTS of admirers!!

He just cant get enough of him :)
